Having experienced hearing loss myself, I truly understand how vital it is to hear and enjoy all the wonderful sounds of life. My goal is to provide positive, patient-centered care to everyone I meet with a smile on my face. When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family and my dogs, diving into a good book, hiking, and being outdoors.

I was born in Phoenix, AZ, and grew up in the valley till the age of 8 and then moved with my family to Nogales AZ. Living there made me appreciate my Mexican heritage a lot more. I attended grade school through high school in Nogales, and then moved back to Phoenix in my early twenty’s. I have a passion for music and worked as a stage manager for 9 years at Celebrity Theatre. Upon getting into my thirties I discovered I had a drive to help people and wanted to get into hearing health. I attended Phoenix College for my general courses and transferred to ASU. It took a lot of hard work and dedication to finally graduate in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science. Afterward, I worked in a hearing aid clinic for a few years. Fast forward to 2023 and I’m a proud member of Advanced Hearing Group. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 kitties. As well as listening to music and playing guitar.

Marchel Smith
Patient Care Coordinator in Scottsdale
I am an Arizona native born and raised but jumped at the chance to move to San Diego after getting married, where both of my boys were born. My husband and I made the decision to move back to Arizona once we had our boys, so we could be closer to family. I have been a Patient Care Coordinator at the North Scottsdale location since 2022. Prior to working at AHG, I worked 15 years at a Youth Fitness Center where both of my boys competed in gymnastics, which kept us very busy for many years. Now that both of our boys are grown, my husband and I enjoy traveling as much as we can. We love going anywhere there is a beach or mountains. We enjoy spending our free time outdoors; camping, hiking, biking, kayaking or sitting on the beach in Mexico with a good book. My husband is from Nebraska, so football season is our favorite time…. GO HUSKERS!
